/*
 * The typeface, declared once, where every surface loads it.
 *
 * WHY THIS IS A THIRD CORE SHEET AND NOT A BLOCK IN ONE OF THE OTHER TWO
 *
 * The token sheet names the family -- `--font-text: "Sintony", sans-serif` --
 * and says in its own first paragraph that it holds named values and one
 * default. An `@font-face` is not a named value: it is a rule with a `src`, and
 * writing it there would be the first exception to a sentence that has held.
 * The base sheet describes itself as the two utilities the base layout writes,
 * and a third thing in it would make that sentence false rather than merely
 * incomplete. So: a sheet whose whole job is to say where "Sintony" comes from,
 * beside the sheet that says what "Sintony" is.
 *
 * WHY IT MOVED HERE, WHICH IS THE POINT
 *
 * These two blocks used to be written twice -- byte for byte identical, in
 * `operator/console.css` and `visitor/shell.css` -- and a check held the copies
 * against each other so they could not drift. The check was right about the
 * risk and wrong about the shape: two copies covered the console and the
 * visitor window, and nothing covered the administration, the operator
 * workspace, or the seventeen screens that share the core layout. Those
 * surfaces asked for "Sintony" through `--font-text` and declared no face, so
 * they resolved it only on a machine that already had the family installed, and
 * fell to the system sans everywhere else.
 *
 * That was measured on the deployed installation rather than reasoned:
 * `document.fonts` reported `Sintony 400 loaded` and `Sintony 700 loaded` on
 * `/console` and `/embed/prechat`, and an empty list on `/admin/dashboard`,
 * while all three computed `Sintony, sans-serif`. Two surfaces of one product
 * in two typefaces, and no check could see it, because `check-assets` counts
 * the faces a sheet declares and every declaration it counted was real.
 *
 * `templates/core/layout.tpl` links this sheet, and all five surfaces extend
 * that layout -- the console, the visitor chat window, the visitor pre-chat
 * window, the administration shell and the operator workspace. One declaration
 * now reaches every one of them, and there is no second copy to drift from.
 *
 * THE FILES, AND WHAT WAS CHECKED ABOUT THEM
 *
 * The subset is the family's own latin subset as its designer publishes it --
 * Sintony, Eduardo Tunni, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, whose text
 * travels with it in `licences/sintony/OFL.txt` because the licence requires
 * that and not because it is tidy. Two weights, 16 884 bytes together, against
 * the ceiling of 92 379 that `tools/check-assets.php` computes from what the
 * legacy spent on four formats.
 *
 * They were checked by loading them in a browser and measuring a string against
 * the fallback, not by asking whether a file exists -- a font that fails to
 * decode satisfies every existence check and draws nothing, and
 * `document.fonts.check()` answers true for it.
 *
 * `local()` is tried first, so a machine that already has the family fetches
 * nothing; `swap` shows the fallback immediately rather than three seconds of
 * a page with no text in it. The range below over-declares on purpose: it is
 * the standard latin range, and the file covers 212 code points inside it, so
 * every glyph the file has is used and the ones it lacks fall through per
 * glyph.
 *
 * The `../core/fonts/` in the addresses below is not a mistake and not a
 * leftover from where these blocks used to live. `tools/check-assets.php`
 * refuses a woff2 whose address does not name `core/fonts/`, because that is
 * the one directory whose weight it adds up against the budget. Written as
 * plain `fonts/` from here the file resolves identically and the check reports
 * a face outside the tree -- which is the check doing its job on a spelling it
 * cannot tell from a real escape.
